The catastrophe team is well experienced in claims management. The management system includes the receiving of claims, the contacting of clients, the constant monitoring of current status with files through the difficult early stages of a catastrophe scene, making sure there is sufficient support staff and resources at the scene, choosing economical accommodation and rental vehicles and controlling return travel to the scene from the supporting loss adjusters.   

 

Peter MacLeod has had extensive New Zealand and International experience in claims management, both individual site and multiple claim scenarios. The volume of claims seems to be on the small side compared with other loss adjusting companies, where the assignments we receive are usually complicated, of a larger size than normal and requiring particular experience of senior loss adjusters and experienced construction industry staff. 

 

Various underwriters require certain methods of dealing with claims and it is important to make sure underwriters supply the correct information to the field team at the time of issuing instructions, so that we all understand what is expected by the underwriters and the insurers claims management staff.
