The
catastrophe team is well experienced in claims management. The
management system includes the receiving of claims, the
contacting of clients, the constant monitoring of current status
with files through the difficult early stages of a catastrophe
scene, making sure there is sufficient support staff and
resources at the scene, choosing economical accommodation and
rental vehicles and controlling return travel to the scene from
the supporting loss adjusters.
Peter
MacLeod has had extensive New Zealand and International
experience in claims management, both individual site and
multiple claim scenarios. The volume of claims seems to be on
the small side compared with other loss adjusting companies,
where the assignments we receive are usually complicated, of a
larger size than normal and requiring particular experience of
senior loss adjusters and experienced construction industry
staff.
Various
underwriters require certain methods of dealing with claims and
it is important to make sure underwriters supply the correct
information to the field team at the time of issuing
instructions, so that we all understand what is expected by the
underwriters and the insurers claims management staff.
